Pandita Pratima Kushmani Shridevi Doobay
Pandita Pratima Kushmani Shridevi Doobay is a Wedding Officiant, Ceremonial Priestess, sacred artist, community organizer, human rights activist, and devoted spiritual guide.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Pratima has been immersed in spirituality, philosophy, and cultural arts her entire life. Her ancestral lineage is deeply rooted in spiritual service, a legacy her parents instilled in their home and community.
Her father and guru, Pandit Mahendranauth Doobay, comes from a long line of revered Pandits and has established Mandirs (Temples) in Guyana and New York City. Her mother, Shrimati Kamla Dhanmati Doobay, has been a pillar of strength and a guiding force, inspiring Pratima to embrace resilience and purpose in her spiritual journey. With their support, Pratima became the first female in her family to continue this sacred lineage.
Pratima’s Legacy as a Priestess
Pratima’s dedication to community activism and spiritual inclusivity was recognized by Sadhana: Coalition of Progressive Hindus, who invited her to officiate their annual LGBTQIA-themed Satsangh as a Priestess. This moment was a profound milestone in her journey, further affirming her role in carrying forward her family’s spiritual legacy.
This divine path led to the expansion of Shridevi Arts, incorporating guided meditation, sound healing, immersive creative art experiences, and spiritual counseling—both in public community events and private ceremonies.
Through her unwavering commitment, Pandita Pratima Kushmani Doobay’s mission has transcended beyond borders, uniting people from all walks of life in a shared vision of oneness, unity, and alignment with Divine Purpose.
